1. Who We Are
Stecya (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates stecya.com, including the Stecya AI tool — an AI-powered Statement of Work generator for freelancers. We are an independent digital product business based in Indonesia. You can contact us at hello@stecya.com.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide our service:
- →Account information: Your name and email address when you sign up via Clerk (our authentication provider). You may sign up using Google OAuth or email.
- →Form input data: Project details you enter into the SOW generator (project type, client name, deliverables, timeline, budget). This data is sent to the Claude AI API by Anthropic to generate your document.
- →Generated SOW content: The Statement of Work text generated for you. If you are a Pro subscriber, this is saved to your account in our database (Supabase) so you can access it later.
- →Payment information: Handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor. We do not store your card number, billing address, or any payment credentials on our servers.
- →Usage data: Basic analytics via Google Analytics (page views, session duration, general location). We do not track individual user behavior beyond what is necessary for product improvement.
3. How We Use Your Data

4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate stecya.com:
- →Clerk (clerk.com): Authentication and user account management. Stores your email and profile information.
- →Anthropic Claude API: AI text generation. Your form input is sent to their API to generate the SOW. Anthropic does not train on API inputs by default. See anthropic.com/privacy for details.
- →Supabase (supabase.com): Database storage for Pro subscribers' saved SOWs and subscription status.
- →Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com): Payment processing and subscription management. They act as Merchant of Record and handle all tax compliance.
- →Netlify (netlify.com): Website hosting and serverless functions.
- →Google Analytics: Anonymous usage analytics. You can opt out via browser settings or Google's opt-out tools.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your account data is stored securely by Clerk. Generated SOWs for Pro subscribers are stored in Supabase with row-level security enabled. We use HTTPS across all pages. API keys and sensitive credentials are never exposed to the browser.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the service providers listed above, solely to operate the product.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies required for authentication (via Clerk) and session management. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect your ability to sign in.
7. Data Retention
- →Account data is retained as long as your account is active.
- →If you delete your account, your data is removed from our systems within 30 days.
- →Saved SOWs are retained while you maintain a Pro subscription. You can delete individual SOWs at any time.
- →Payment records are retained by Lemon Squeezy as required by law.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- →Access the personal data we hold about you
- →Request correction of inaccurate data
- →Request deletion of your account and data
- →Export your generated SOWs at any time
- →Opt out of Google Analytics via browser settings

9. Children's Privacy
Stecya is intended for use by adults and professional freelancers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of stecya.com after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
