1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using stecya.com and the Stecya AI service ("Service“), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.
2. Description of Service
Stecya AI is an AI-powered Statement of Work (SOW) generator for freelancers, operated by Stecya. The Service allows users to generate professional freelance contract documents using artificial intelligence.
The Service is provided as-is. AI-generated documents are provided as a starting point and drafting aid only. We do not provide legal advice. Generated SOWs should be reviewed and customised before use. We recommend consulting a qualified legal professional for projects involving significant financial or legal risk.
3. Accounts
- →You must create an account to generate and view SOWs. Accounts are created via Clerk using Google OAuth or email.
- →You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- →You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service.
- →You may only create one account per person. Duplicate accounts may be removed.
- →We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Free and Paid Plans
Free plan: Signed-in users may generate unlimited Statements of Work and view them on screen. Downloading, editing, sending, and saving SOWs are Pro features.
Pro plan ($9 USD/month): Subscribers get full access to all features including downloading (TXT, PDF, HTML, Docx), inline editing, and saving SOWs to their account. Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
5. Payments and Refunds
- →All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as Merchant of Record. By subscribing, you agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service.
- →Subscription fees are charged in USD. Your bank may apply currency conversion fees.
- →We offer a 7-day refund policy for new subscribers. To request a refund, contact us at hello@stecya.com within 7 days of your first charge.
- →No refunds are issued for partial months after the 7-day window.
- →We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.
6. Intellectual Property
Your content: The text you input into the generator and the SOW documents generated for you belong to you. You may use generated SOWs for any lawful commercial purpose, including sending them to clients as part of your freelance business.
Our content: The stecya.com website, design, code, branding, and any non-generated content are owned by Stecya. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute them without written permission.
AI-generated content: Generated SOWs are created using the Anthropic Claude API. Output may share similarities with documents generated for other users. We make no guarantee of uniqueness. You are responsible for reviewing and customising generated content before use.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- →Generate fraudulent, misleading, or illegal documents
- →Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the API
- →Create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits
- →Resell or redistribute access to the Service
- →Violate any applicable laws or regulations
8. Disclaimers
No legal advice: Stecya AI generates document drafts using AI. The Service does not constitute legal advice. Generated SOWs are templates and starting points — not legally reviewed documents. Stecya is not liable for any disputes, losses, or damages arising from the use of generated documents in actual business transactions.
Service availability: We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The core generation feature depends on the Anthropic Claude API — if Anthropic experiences an outage, SOW generation will be unavailable until service is restored. We are not liable for any losses, missed deadlines, or damages caused by unavailability of the Service or any third-party provider we rely on (Anthropic, Clerk, Supabase, Netlify, Lemon Squeezy). We will endeavour to communicate known outages via hello@stecya.com where possible. No refunds or credits are issued for downtime caused by third-party service interruptions.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stecya shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or business interruption. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@stecya.com.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any reason we deem necessary to protect the integrity of the Service. In cases of termination by us without cause, we will issue a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your current billing period.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Indonesia.
